Financial Services

Offices within the Division of Finance will provide remote services to the Penn community. While DOF offices on campus are closed, you can continue to reach staff by email and phone. Please visit our department pages for information about any temporary changes to processes or service delivery during this time.

Cash & Debt Management:  Cash & Debt Management will continue to provide services to the University community remotely. All incoming electronic transactions are processed as normal. Cash and checks dropped in the Cash Management drop box in the Franklin Building are processed weekly and on the last day of the month. Mobile and branch deposits are processed daily.

The Franklin Building is currently under restricted access while in this remote environment. If you need access to the Franklin Building to drop off cash or check deposits, please contact us via email (dofcashmgmt@pobox.upenn.edu) and include your Penn ID number so we can request access for you. As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Cash Management team with any questions or concerns.

Comptroller’s Office:
Disbursements – Accounts Payable:  Disbursements will continue to provide services to the University community remotely. We have posted guidance on our website indicating which of our processes are impacted by the University’s transition to remote work. You can also contact us via email or phone.
           
Financial Reporting & Accounting Operations:  Our offices will continue to provide services to the University community remotely. The Comptroller's Office has posted guidance on our website on how offices should track expenses and lost revenues directly attributable to COVID-19. You can contact Financial Reporting or Accounting Operations via email or phone.
 
Payroll:  Payroll will continue to provide services to the University community remotely. We are instituting the practice of mailing paper paychecks and pay cards to individuals receiving these methods of payment. Any questions regarding payroll or enrolling in direct deposit should be submitted to the Employee Solution Center at hcmsolutioncenter@upenn.edu.

Financial Systems & Training:  Our offices will continue to provide services to the University community remotely. Contact Financial Systems, Financial Training, or Information Technology Services via email or phone.

All financial- and student-related systems are expected to be available and operating according to their regular schedule. The support team will be available to assist during business hours. Please submit support inquiries through the normal intake methods.

All of the Financial Training Department’s instructor-led training classes are being delivered virtually.  The upcoming schedule can be found on the FTD Training Calendar and course registration is via Knowledge Link.  Please direct questions to doftraining@pobox.upenn.edu.

Gift and Investment Services:  Gift and Investment Services will continue to provide services to the University community remotely. Please contact us via email or phone.

Global Support Services:  Our offices will continue to provide services to the University community remotely. Please contact us via email (dofglobalsupport@pobox.upenn.edu).  In particular, if your school or center was planning to host an international visitor, please contact us to discuss other potential options for engagement, such as institutional agreement, independent contractor classification, or external payroll provider.

Office of Research Services:  ORS will continue to provide services to the University community remotely. Please contact us via email or phone.

Risk Management & Insurance:  Our offices will continue to provide services to the University community remotely. Please contact us via email at dofriskmgmt@pobox.upenn.edu.

Student Registration and Financial Services:  SRFS will continue to provide services to students and the University community remotely. The best way to reach a staff member for assistance is by email. To reach a financial aid counselor or representative, please email sfsmail@pobox.upenn.edu  The Office of the University Registrar can be reached at registrar@upenn.edu  Refer to the SRFS Contact Us page for other SRFS email addresses.
